Beautiful ! Walked to Junako beach and did some shopping at the straw market. Scenery was nice and people were very pleasant.

We reserved a day at the Hilton's private beach. No crowds, excellent service, good food and drinks, spotless sand and clear water. Relaxing under the grass umbrellas beats any shore excursion you could get. Just a 10 minute walk from the ship.

I've read so many bad comment about Nassau but I did not experience that bad. If you don't want to buy anything than say "No thank you" and walk away. We bought some good stuff. People were really nice at straw market, you can get good deals on stuff if you buy more.

We did a walking history tour which gave us a good foundation of knowledge about the islands. After that, drinks by the water at Junkanoo Beach at a place called the Tiki Bar- loved the sky juice! And then over to the fish fry where we had one of the best meals ever at Oh Andros! The plates were piled about 4-5 inches high with deliciousness! I had pork chops, Mac and cheese, potato salad and rice & peas. Everything had a little zing and was super tasty. Don't go there if u need to be quick.

Amazing!! I can’t wait to go to The Bahamas again!! This is where I proposed to my fiancé and next time we come back we will definitely go back to cabbage beach. We made great friends there!

Our excursion was parasailing and unfortunately the weather and wind cancelled our plans. We hit Junakoo beach and it was a great substitute. A free, walk on beach. Small, yes. Rocky? Sure. But really can’t complain when everyone is so kind & helpful and the water is warm and blue. It’s what you make it. The island itself is gorgeous and the people are great. They want to make a sale but also want you to enjoy their home!! If you don’t want to purchase something, say no thank you and move on. It’s all good. We were stopped by a gentleman with a menu offering us “genuine Bahamian food.” We listened to his pitch and then moved on. Later that day we walked into Senor Frogs, sat down, and got up again and left! We definitely recommend avoiding the tourist stop and hitting the local spots. We found the man (Tomi) and his restaurant and it’s the highlight of our trip. Fresh food and conch fresh from that day! Awesome. Do some research ahead and you can really enjoy yourself with a historical sight seeing your too.

We really enjoyed Nassau. Big changes and lots of new building development going on. It's definitely not the same Nassau we vacationed for 10 days about 14 years ago. We were impressed with the new traffic patterns, clean streets and bigger variety of shops and outdoor eating/ drinking options. Enjoyed the short walk to the John Watling distillery. Highly recommend the Buena Vista Rum, but definitely take the tour and have a tasting in the tavern... You'll probably take a bottle or two home. Contrary to what a lot of folks are saying we did not find the locals to be pushy at all. In fact anyone we encountered seemed just as willing to point you in the right direction for a local vendor or shop you were looking for.
