Review summary

I had an AWESOME vacation! I can't wait until I an experience another Royal Caribbean Cruise! The attention to detail was amazing and if you have any medical issues, they are trained and ready to take care of you. They have a procedure for every issue or emergency that comes up and the trained staff to carry it off!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and easy. We were on the ship within 20 minutes of beginning the process. We started after 11 a.m. and by noon we were on the deck with a drink, a chair, and a great view.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was excellent. A great variety and plenty of it. The drink package was great as well and the process was quick and easy.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We spent most of our time on the 12th deck chairs! The pool and movies were great.

Entertainment

I was there mainly for the sun and view, as it was my first cruise and there were just so many things to choose from that we just ended up relaxing. We saw some of them on the tv playing late at night and would say "Oh, we missed that, too!" and laugh.

Children's Programs

No kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Dane was a great room steward. He was attentive, personable, and quick to answer every question. Our servers at dinner were Rudy and Savio. They were excellent also. Rudy even remembered what we had to drink each evening. The medical staff was efficient, as well. I fell over the lip on the door of the café beside Johnny Rocket's on the last day and hurt my knee, head, hand, and even had a few bruises come up the day after, and the nurse was there in under 5 minutes with TWO wheelchairs! And even Jennifer, the head of food and beverages, was there in less than 2 minutes. Also, Bobby the cruise director was very personable and chatted every time was saw him.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The place was immaculate! I was so impressed! I rarely even saw a glass laying around!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The bed and sheets were perfect! The size of the room was perfect for 2. Just enough room to sleep, change clothes, and get back out to the beautiful view.

Ship tip

If you go all the way down to the floating bar and beach area when you go to Cococay, be aware that there is a huge feast laid out for you at the FRONT of the island! haha. We had no idea and stayed at the far end of the island and just got hot dogs. :-) And possibly be aware that not every doorway entrance has a 'ramp' on either side of it, so you need to look down and be sure before going through an entrance.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Just parked the car and got on the ship.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Cococay was probably my favorite part of the trip! Relaxed on floats the whole day.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We did not do an excursion, but just walked and shopped. It was very nice.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We carried out our own luggage so did not experience the baggage claiming process, but it was quick and easy. The only delay was waiting at the elevators.

question - medical. Free? or cost associated? I've heard many complaints about medical fees.
