The private beach was awesome! We went on the Paradise Cove excursion, which we thought was not a good value, $89 per person. We were taken by boat to a cove, hardly paradise though. Not much area to enjoy the sun. They did not tell us we would exit the boat in thigh deep water, which was difficult for my mother and I, both having knee issues. We thought we would be taking a tour of a Haitian village, but it was just staged. The vendors were somewhat pushy to purchase their wares. I would pass on this excursion.

This is their private island, remove the offer the buffet during this day they have water on both sides of this little island. Lots of little tiny shop to buy souvenirs. I do have to say they are very very pushy I’m trying to get you to come in and buy their goods. To a point of it being almost rude or like you have to run to get past them. But they do have some good souvenirs to buy, so it’s not all that bad.

I wish Royal Caribbean will just do an overnight here, it was amazing. The only not so great thing was that they bring the food from the ship and the selection was very limited. Also the walk back to the ship is lengthy. Do buy from the people selling they were in the back. They were not pushy at all. Locals were very friendly. Do give tips whenever you get a service.

I know this might surprise a lot of people based on the reviews I read prior to going to Labadee, but I was disappointed. We rented the "beach lounger for two" which was very nice. My disappointment came from the conditions on the beach, plastic and trash floating in the water, plasic pieces of all sorts in the sand on the beach. Just not what we expected. I understand that RC can't control what is in the water, but I gurantee they could hire some locals reasonably to keep the beaches clean. Contact Excellence Resorts if they want any tips on how to keep a resort in pristine condition!

I did the Labadee Traditions tour. We took a boat to a local village. There we learned about the culture and traditions. They sang and danced for us. It was very interesting and informative. I still had plenty of time to do some snorkeling and swimming on Nellie' s beach. I did go to the vendors to see what they had. I found some things but I also know I paid more than I should have even after talking them down. They were very pushy! The lines for the food were crazy long so I just went back to the ship and ate there. I did like that drinks were included with the beverage package.

The beach was very nice and the bar inside the water, awesome but for the rest activities you have to pay and they more things to do. Also more shaded areas are needed.
