The people and how wonderful their farewell was really made this port for me. I have a great time just interacting with people and shopping there.

Took a trip down town to shop. For five dollars through carnival after shopping to local taxi 15.00 to the beach per person 20 mins away. Pics with monkey, parrots and iguana. Free table and chairs. Taxi driver and his brother very nice, Stop at supermarket to buy food and drinks before going to the beach.

We did the Catalina Island excursion. The sand was amazing! It was so soft and perfect for building sand castles. The water was gorgeous and warm. There was an area to the far side to snorkel and free beach chairs and umbrellas. The people on the island gave out free necklaces to entice you to come to their shops. All the shops had the same kinds of things for sale - trinkets and souvenirs. The locals were kind and not super pushy (they wanted you to come buy things but were not mean or aggressive about it). My one warning if you are considering this is there is a VERY steep drop to get into the water from the beach. If you aren’t in decent shape you won’t be able to get in and out. At least 2 people on our tour got stuck in the water because they were physically incapable of walking up the incline. The bathroom is also up several flights of stairs.

Our least favourite stop, we rented a cab for the 4 of us and did a tour of the island, it was ok, seen some interesting things, our driver was great

The water was great but getting in and out of the water was a bit difficult for a lot of other people, especially for those that seem to be elderly and have issues walking. Also the beach we had our excursion at, booked through Carnival, had a lot of people constantly coming at us trying to sell us stuff and not wanting to take "no" for an answer.

Awful, people were rude and gangsters. Selling cigars stuffed with banana leaves. Tour guide did not speak English.
