Not much to do. We strolled around the market area for about an hour and then got back on the ship. Good place to book an excursion or find out where to take a taxi to a beach. We enjoyed being on the ship while it was very quiet.

Catamaran & Speed Boat La Romana via Carnival fun & great value. Long sailing to shallow lagoon & on to island beach for lunch.Very nice! At the end of trip, vendors swarmed passengers getting off boat. A vendor was forceful to my son and I had to step between them. Stay to together and be fine.

We went to Catalina Island. The locals brought chairs and umbrellas. They are actually free but we still tipped them. There were shops that you could really haggle with owners. I bought a shirt for $20 that was ticketed for $45. There was also food available.

Nothing to do here. We went on the Blue Hole tour and it took an hour drive to get there with nothing (except sugar cane) to look at so bring a book or take a nap. One thing about the Blue Hole that I have not seen mentioned anywhere else is the number of honey bees that are there. There are hundreds of them.

This is one port you really need to do an excursion or something away from the port. We no longer get off at this port when its part of the itinerary. I gave it a 5 since I didn't think it was fair to lower the overall rating of the cruise because of this.

It was ok. My family and I went to a private beach. The beach was beautiful. If I didn't have an excursion I dont know if it would have been enjoyable.
