This was one of our better cruises on Carnival. The ship was above average, the food was wonderful and the staff were truly amazing. For the most part the passengers were also great on this ship which unfortunately is something we now notice.

We had no issues with food what so ever. The Steak House was absolutely delicious. We both had the NY Strip with the shrimp cocktail. Also, we had the dessert artwork which was done at the table and was great to watch. We also did the Chiefs table which was an awesome experience. The table was actually off one of their kitchen areas. The buffet was your normal Carnival Buffet which we always find a wide variety of food.
Onboard Activities

I would rate the pools & hot tubs as average/typical. The Waterworks aqua park was very enjoyable with the slides and lots of stuff for kids to enjoy. The SkyRide was neat to do but something that you only need to do once.

The ship doesn't look brand new anymore but it's still in fantastic shape. It has a more modern design unlike some of the older ships and it would appear they are doing a great job maintaining it.
Cabin / Stateroom

We did the standard interior room which was totally fine for us. It does seem a bit smaller than other ships.
Ship tip
We loved doing the morning breakfast on deck 5. It had almost everything that the Lido has but without the crowds. Jiji's also has lunch on Sea days that they don't really do a good job advertising. It's not their normal menu, just the stir fry Mongolian Wok that you often see at the buffet on other ships. It was great to have.
We always arrive a day early and one of our traditions is to go to Oh Mexico on South Beach. The food is great but the chip and guacamole is to die for. It's really a must do in our books.
This is one port you really need to do an excursion or something away from the port. We no longer get off at this port when its part of the itinerary. I gave it a 5 since I didn't think it was fair to lower the overall rating of the cruise because of this.
