This was my first cruise. I found out I’m not a good flyer and I don’t do well on rough seas but once I got over my travel sickness I had the BEST TIMR EVER! I loved everything .... hot sunny days while it’s cold and dreary at home is heaven.

Food and Dining

So much to choose from....Loved trying all the different things in the buffets.. didn’t realize until half way through that both ends had different choices. I only did the main dining room once on formal night. The food was great and it was a fun to get all dressed up. Went to Guys BBQ for lunch the first day.. delicious. Liked the choices of sauce because I’m pretty picky. Loved the desserts and the sandwich bar and guys burgers and while I prefer thick crust pizza I was quite happy with free pizza any darn time I felt like it and it was tasty! Am I forgetting anything??
Didn’t do any pay restaurants.

Loved all the choices. Things I already love and things I’d never heard of.... I tried so many things I would never order without knowing if I liked it. Two thumbs up!!
Onboard Activities

My first night I got a massage at the spa from the lovely miss Jane.
I ran out of time for some things I wanted to try but I liked the track and outdoor exercise equipment. My friends enjoyed playing mini golf and pool.

I had a massage from Jane on my first night. Very relaxing after a long flight and although I had heard people complain in other forums, I didn’t feel pressured at all.
Entertainment

Enjoyed everything we saw. Violin trio, the band that played at the Fat Tuesday party, the Havana bar band and comedy show were great.

Service and Staff

Our room steward Mahfudin was wonderful! 💜I really can’t say enough great things about all the staff. They work very hard and always have a smile no matter what selfish, rude, awful, disgusting thing we witnessed passengers do.💜
The staff was constantly cleaning and tidying no matter where I was or what time of day/night. On the decks, in the dining rooms, clubs, bars, casino etc.
We had rough seas the first night and next day and, although I didn’t go, I heard a lot of people went to the infirmary for seasickness and were thankful for the medical staff.
P.S. Loved my towel animals🙂
Ship Quality

I loved it but it was quite large and I felt like I didn’t have enough time to really explore. We kept finding that we couldn’t go through from one end of the ship to the other without going through the casino. I’m sure it’s possible but somehow the casino always seemed easier but by the end of the cruise it was pretty stinky.
Cabin / Stateroom

I honestly expected smaller so I was perfectly happy with the size. It was cozy, clean and comfortable and we had room for everything..and it was quiet and dark at night. We really didn’t spend a lot of time there besides sleeping and showering and changing clothes.
We walked through the shops and Margaritaville and got chairs on the beach on the busy side (to the left as you leave the ship) Later we walked down to the beach (to your right as you leave the ship) where it’s a little less busy. There’s great photo opportunities and a little place to eat over there.
We did the deluxe beach resort excursion to the Catalonia Grand Dominicus with our fantastic tour guide Ernesto😃
I didn’t even know I wanted to go to DR but it was so beautiful and I’m so glad we didn’t skip it because of stories we had heard in the news. I probably wouldn’t wander around exploring on my own but a resort excursion made for a superb day.
We did the national park, turtle snorkel and beach stop. Wow! It’s a lot packed in and I wish there had been more time at each stop but it’s amazing on Curacao. I was most looking foreword to Aruba but I fell in love with Curaçao immediately! We ended up with 5 minutes to spare and our tour guide Anessa and bus driver Joel allowed us a quick peek at the flamingos that happened to be at a spot they frequent along the roadway 🦩 In the evening we walked along the water and around the Rif Fort mall area.
No excursion here. We explored town on foot, found some lounging iguanas and picked up free goodies from the jewelry shops. We took the free trolly which was a fun ride around town.
Try a pastechi if you see them somewhere...they are yummy.
