This isn't one of my top favorite ports, but we had a good time and I would visit again. The people we encountered were very friendly, even though the area outside of the Cruise Center is very rundown. We rented a golf cart-it was very slow-and toured about half of the island. We stopped at a couple of beaches and then went to Jack's Shack for a late lunch. BEST fried grouper ever (and I am from Florida). Great food, drinks and people there. The dogs are the most polite beggars I have ever met. lol

One of my new favorite places. Beaches are clean and beautiful. Clear turquoise water. Friendly people. I didn’t want to leave. I would love to bring my family here next time. True paradise! Also the best Pina coladas

Great water and beach. You can walk off the ship onto the beach free. Enjoy a nice swim shop a little, hassle free, and go right back to the ship!

Grand Turk was fun. It wasn't what I expected from all the reviews I read. Walking down the pier you can see just about all the areas that I needed. I didn't do an excursion, so the beach, shopping and Margaritaville were my plan for the day. Mostly, I wanted to get my passport stamped, use the free wifi and maybe hit Jack's Shack. *Passport was to the right of the square, I asked for directions. It was $2 per book. I was allowed to bring everyone's passport, just needed to pay the fee with cash. *Margaritaville was much larger than I anticipated. It looked like everyone was having fun, with lots of options. I really just wanted the wifi to video call home. Their free wifi didn't work well within their compound. It was actually strongest near the passport office. It's to the right of the entrance to Margaritaville. I didn't partake of anything there though. *Beach and water was gorgeous! *Jack's Shack is WELL WORTH the walk. You get a free drink/shot when you tell them about seeing them on facebook. I usually pay $5-$9 for my regular drink - it was $2!!!! And the drinks are strong. They have food, volleyball, beach chairs, etc, all free to use. So, I got off the ship, walked the long pier, went through the shop, across the square to the passport office, then everything else was to the left of the ship.

We've done the tours and suggest them anyway. On our second or third visit grab a beach chair or head to Margaritaville and it's free resort style pool that is a mere 5 minute walk from the ship. Free wi-fi at Margaritaville if you ask the waiter for the password and order a drink.

This was the last port on my cruise and it was the perfect place to end our adventure. The beach and Margaritaville are right off the pier so you don’t need a excursion unless there is something you really want to try. Green umbrellas are free to use, everything else you do have to pay for. Walk down to Jack’s Shack if you are looking for some good Jerk Chicken. You can also play with Topher the dog.
