Review summary

I would definitely go on this ship again. I did my research and knew what to expect. I think any cruise (just like life) is what you make it. If you are a negative person who finds fault in everything, then you probably won't enjoy this ship. Otherwise you will have a great time.

Embarkation

Very easy and quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food options available. The food was very good for the most part. Drinks were great. We loved the main dining room, Guy's Burgers and the Cantina. Buffet is typical buffet.

Michelangelo Lounge

5 out of 5

Nice atmosphere and I loved the latin band that played here.

Joe's Cafe

5 out of 5

Friendly staff and everything I tried here was amazing.

Fantasy Dining Room

5 out of 5

All of the staff was great and the food was very good. There was always something that appealed to me on the menu. There were only a couple of dishes that I didn't think were fantastic. Ask for Horace's section-he and his assistants were fantastic. We found them on the third night and requested their section for the remainder of the cruise.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There are plenty of activities to stay busy if you want. There are also quiet places if you prefer.

Sensation Boulevard Promenade

5 out of 5

Lots of areas to sit, things to do, and a good layout. I loved that there was a small stage in front of the casino lounge where bands would play sometimes.

Guest Services / Shore Excursions

5 out of 5

I had FTTF and it was worth it for this perk alone. Paulo (guest services) was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with when I had questions. I can't remember the gentleman at the shore excursion desk's name, but he was also pleasant.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Very good-just don't expect Broadway caliber and you won't be disappointed.

The Oak Room Library

4 out of 5

The library is nice and spacious with a nice selection of books and games. However, the few times I tried to go there to read and relax, it was too loud (people playing games). I just found other spots to read.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was the best part of the cruise. Everyone was happy, pleasant, and very helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It's a small ship and there are a few decks where you can't go from bow to stern, but that's not a big deal to me. Even though this is an older ship, there were always people cleaning and I never encountered anything but cleanliness.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The inside cabin was great. There were three of us, so it was a little tight with a trundle, but manageable. There is plenty of storage and the bathroom is a good size.

Ship tip

Understand that this is a smaller, older ship. Do your research and you will know what to expect. We had an amazing time.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nassau is not my favorite port, mainly because there are always several ships docked and it is very busy. However, there is a variety of shore excursions to pick from and you can explore on your own. This time we did a walking tour of downtown and it was great. In addition to seeing all of the popular tourist sights, we found a few surprises along the way. Everyone we encountered was friendly (we stopped several people and asked for directions) and we felt safe, even in the non-touristy/rundown section we passed through.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
BEST beach ever! Totally perfect. We rented a cabana and it was worth every penny. Even if you don't have the money to get a cabana, you can find plenty of shade farther down the beach.

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5
This isn't one of my top favorite ports, but we had a good time and I would visit again. The people we encountered were very friendly, even though the area outside of the Cruise Center is very rundown. We rented a golf cart-it was very slow-and toured about half of the island. We stopped at a couple of beaches and then went to Jack's Shack for a late lunch. BEST fried grouper ever (and I am from Florida). Great food, drinks and people there. The dogs are the most polite beggars I have ever met. lol

I work for a large resort in Orlando FL and wish more people had your Attitude you would be surprised in the number of people who spend thousands of dollars to go on vacation and are just plain miserable the whole time
