We didn't spend time in the port. We were fortunate enough to have a friend's family living there so we got a ride to a great beach and got to go to the countryside and visit locals.

No excursion. This is a diving locale. A lot of diving shops by the waterfront, but shopping is a bit limited. There's some history in easy walking. A 400+ year old dutch port. Worth the $5.00 cost of admission to get a little history. This is a US port, very safe and relaxing, but limited selection of things to do.

St. Croix was very windy and the ship parked itself at the end of a very long pier. We booked the excursion to Christiansted and were picked up next to the ship. We learned a lot about St. Croix from our tour guide, but would have preferred to have been dropped off at the end of the pier next to the port shopping at the end of the tour. The wind was too strong for us to walk it from the ship. Many people stayed on the ship, most likely for the same reason we did.

One of the highlights of our cruise was the excursion we took on St. Croix. We did a snorkeling tour, which included an opportunity to snorkel in a marine reserve. That was the most incredible variety of fish we saw this trip. The only downfall was how rushed we were buy the snorkel guide. We didn't get to linger in any one spot on the "trail" of the marine reserve. I'd love to go back and stay there much longer!

Not a lot to do here either. The tours are predictable.
