Yet another new favorite island in the Eastern Caribbean?! Is it possible to love three new ports on one cruise to the point of not being able to decide which is best? Wow! St Croix is a bit hurricane-battered but that just helps highlight how much more naturally preserved this island is, when compared to more touristy overly developed ones. There is much to be said for tropics places that look the same as they did hundreds of years ago. Excursion: St. George Village Botanical Garden of the US Virgin Islands, An absolutely wonderful place to spend a few hours in port, this island highlight is Historical, Cultural, Educational, Archaeological, Sociological, and Gorgeous with its abundant flowers and cleverly curated landscapes.

Loved this port. Did day passes at a hotel about a mile from port. Beautiful place, crystal clear water, nice pool, got 2 drinks free. They had food you could buy food was great everyone was so nice was 40.00 per person for the day. Snorkeling was great there too. So relaxing. We walked there but took cab back cab was only 5.00. Would go there again for sure!

Not much to do here. Heard if you take a taxi to the other side of the island (Christianstead) there were many more choices and much cleaner.

I love St. Croix but I’m biased since I lived there in the 1970’s with my parents. My primary reason for visiting St Croix was to visit my mom’s gravesite which I accomplished. I also went to Christiansted, walked around and shopped at several quaint shops including IB’s design and Mitchell Larson Studios. I did not do any excursions.

Not much to do on the island and we were only in port for half a day. We walked around the local shops at port and stocked up on our souvenirs to bring home. There was a local beach in short walking distance that several cruisers went to.
