Went on a catamaran snorkeling tour to Catalina island. Nice ride, very little life underwater. Also, right there in the port there is a Don Qu Rum House: very good rums with sampling and explanations - an alternative to the Bacardi factory excursion taking over 3 hours.

There wasn't anything near the pier to see other than the resort. It was beautiful there, but we didn't have much time to explore. There were several local men badgering us to buy cigars.

terrible...no sense of welcome, not enough to do for an entire ship of visitors, nothing close... got right back on the ship
