half Moon cay was heaven, what more can I say....as far as Nassau goes, we hired a local tour guide and he took us around to all of his favorites. even let us shop and put our feet in the water as well as take pics for us while we were there. A 30 min tour drop off at Atlantis. 25.00 per person. super duper nice guy btw the van was air conditioned which mad it all the better. his info: was Maxwell Adderley taxi # 388 cell: 242-525-8362 email: maxwelladderley@gmail.com please give him a call or email to set up if u haven't booked yet. I felt better once I told him i was looking for a guy that was recommended (from this app) and he SD he wasn't on island that day but he'd be sure to try and fill those shoes! the peace of mind was worth it. he SD he's appreciate any biz so plz mention the davison's (the 1 looking for Henry) lol

I just wanted to say I have been to this port multiple times. I love the Bahamas. Can the people be pushy? Yes. Do they take no for an answer? Yes. I happen to like Junkanoo Beach. I’ve eaten at the Kiosks there and enjoyed some fantastic fried fish and cocktails on the beach there. I’ve also snorkeled there. Free Beach within walking distance of the ship. Yet people complain. Once my daughter got sick on the ship (tummy ache). I got off the ship just for a pharmacy. The Bahamian people directed me to a pharmacy without any pushiness whatsoever. Simply asked me what kind of medicine my daughter needed so they could direct me and told me they hoped my daughter felt better. I wish people would should Nassau more love and respect. I understand that they can be pushy. But you can politely say no and keep walking. Enjoy the port. It has a lot to offer. Give it a chance.

Princess Cays, Eleuthera is amazing! The beach is south facing so you have to go in the water to cool down from time to time. Went for a peddle on a water trike and loved it - should have taken my camera out with me but didn't want to lose it. The water itself is so pristine you can see the little silver fish swimming around the sand bars and the beach is the cleanest I've ever been on. The two piece band played great music at the bar and the free meal was welcomed.

Nassau... my best advice: stay on the boat or take a ride over to Atlantis. Get as far away from the port as possible if you get off the boat. It's very uncomfortable to be harassed constantly to buy things or take taxis or excursions! Rude people. One shop tried to over charge for my items and then played dumb when I called her out. Shameful. I'd never go back to this island. Half Moon Cay... Yes. If you can go, go. stay all day. The most beautiful place I've ever been. It's way overcrowded but about 2 pm almost everyone goes back to the boat and you have it mostly to yourself for another 2 hrs. Totally worth it. I loved every minute.

The Bahamas are over done. Nassau has been a stop for pretty much all cruise ships for too long. The people have become very rude and the prices for jewelry and other items have skyrocketed. You will pay more for a diamond here with no tax than if you purchased one in the US and paid tax. The cruise lines need to change their routes and skip the Bahamas. We don't even get off the ship anymore in these ports.
