I am rating excellent because the views are simply breathtaking! Excursion, not so much. We paid $70 each to go to Coconut Cove Beach in an open truck. This was recommended by a worker on Magic, so we went with it. It was all inclusive. The ride was dangerous, with the driver pulling out in front of cars, very scary. The beach was very disappointing. Beach was full of rocks, we could not even walk out in the water and swim. Drinks on the all inclusive were very limited to items that we had never heard of and anything normal we would want to drink had to be purchased. Food was the same, jerk chicken and rice, other food items were available if purchased. People were very late getting back to the bus, so we all had to sit and wait and then someone asked them to stop by a bathroom on the way back and we had to wait again. When we arrived back at the gate of port, a family had forgotten their carnival cards being checked by security for reeentry and we spent another 15 min getting that situation cleared up before we could even return. The family was trying to get someone to come and meet us with their cards and I said can they not just send a picture and it was agreed that this would be accepted. The overall stay was not even 4 hours, was very rushed and we felt like it had been suggested by a Carnival worker and was just worthless and a waste of the one day we had to spend on this island. Should be removed as an excursion.

Damajagua Falls was great! - We booked through Cruises Only and had a great time. This excursion group takes you to 12 falls, where the Carnival excursion only goes to 7. The only issue is that Carnival does not let outside excursion groups inside the port area, so it is a mile walk - but it is not bad at all! To get to the falls, it is an uphill 30 minute muddy hike, so be prepared! But well worth it!

First time there. Very beautiful but wish there had been a beach like the Grand Turk or Half Moon Cay cruise port area.

Boring. We didn’t book an excursion but the feedback I got from others is that it wasn’t all that.

We had a great day going a ship excursion to a beach 45 minutes away. We’ve been to the Dominican Republic a few times and have always loved it. Would no longer go back now with the nonsense that is going on there.

The port itself is beautiful and clean. Enough to do there with zipline, pools, etc you could just stay there. We did the Mega Truck Excursion. Our guide Super Mario was great! We went outside the port on dirt roads with big crevasses that winded up the countryside. We saw little hut homes, and communities. An experience to see how locals really live, and poor conditions. We stopped and sampled homemade coffee and hot cocoa from an older woman, which was wonderful and available to purchase. Also saw demonstrations on how they made their own cigars, which were also available for purchase. We stopped to take scenic overview pictures. Also stopped and sampled their homemade rum which locals make for both men and women. We then drove to private beach, Coconut Beach which was beautiful and were provided a Dominican lunch buffet which was wonderful. Chairs and umbrella were included. Bar available for drinks, wonderful frozen banana drinks! Staff played frisbee game with those interested. After about 2 hours we boarded open truck and went back to port. Outstanding excursion
