Overall, we love a cruise. We will consider a different cruise line in the future due to this poor experience. I know that Carnival does not want anyone to have this type of experience which is why we were really surprised. Hope it will improve and maybe we will try Carnival again in the future.

We have cruised with Carnival several times and have had the same experience with the buffets in particular. The food overall is just okay, desserts are all pretty bad and flavorless.
Guys burgers are a favorite for our family, but the Barbecue was a disappointment.
Coffee machines were constantly broken all over Deck 10, icecream machines were also constantly broken during this cruise. Many, many were frustrated about this.
Onboard Activities

We enjoy the online activities. One of our favorites are the movies at night out on Deck 10. We were disappointed that "magic" repeated movies from night to night so we lost out on those nights because we didn't want to watch them twice. Other Carnival ships show different movies every night.

We enjoyed the violinist that played each day. There is always great and happy music choices being played throughout the ship.
Service and Staff

This was our first time to have less than expected service from all of the staff. Our steward, Ron was amazing! I also want to give huge kudos to Jeena in the Dining area. We saw her everyday and she offered so many valuable tips. Now, other than these two, we encountered many staff members that did not speak, say hello or willing to help. Disappointing.
We stood in line at guest services for 30 minutes with many others and then they announced they were closed. They wouldn't help any of us that had already stood there for so long and many had been there longer. People were really upset over the lack of customer service and concern for the guests. The guest services desk treated people like they were an inconvenience.
Ship Quality

I am rating this poor, simply because of the balcony rooms. We have always stayed in balcony rooms overlooking the ocean directly and this room overlooked a deck with a hot tub below. Very disappointing and not private and quite noisy at times. We only get one cruise on occasion and the experience should always be spectacular.

Excursion, not so much. We paid $70 each to go to Coconut Cove Beach in an open truck. This was recommended by a worker on Magic, so we went with it. It was all inclusive.
The ride was dangerous, with the driver pulling out in front of cars, very scary. The beach was very disappointing. Beach was full of rocks, we could not even walk out in the water and swim. Drinks on the all inclusive were very limited to items that we had never heard of and anything normal we would want to drink had to be purchased. Food was the same, jerk chicken and rice, other food items were available if purchased. People were very late getting back to the bus, so we all had to sit and wait and then someone asked them to stop by a bathroom on the way back and we had to wait again. When we arrived back at the gate of port, a family had forgotten their carnival cards being checked by security for reeentry and we spent another 15 min getting that situation cleared up before we could even return. The family was trying to get someone to come and meet us with their cards and I said can they not just send a picture and it was agreed that this would be accepted.
The overall stay was not even 4 hours, was very rushed and we felt like it had been suggested by a Carnival worker and was just worthless and a waste of the one day we had to spend on this island. Should be removed as an excursion.
We arrived two hours early. The lines were completely backed up so they had everyone move decks 5, 10 & 11. Took over 2 hours to get off the ship even after the normal disembarkation time.
Sorry for ur experience. The magic is our favorite ship and we have always been blessed with amazing experiences when we cruise. Great review though fair and honest instead of whinny and full of complaints like so many
