We took a private tour to Damajagua Falls. We really liked it, it was fun and a different way to spend our day there. I was scared to jump at first but the guides were amazing and super patience. The Amber Cove area is very nice too but we couldn't enjoy the pool since it started raining. Looking forward to come back.

$20 bucks for an umbrella relaxed by the pool ordered drinks and food did some shopping.

Was an ok place. We walked around, took pictures & hung out around the bar. We enjoyed swimming around in the pool. Not my type of place unless you have an excursion or just wanna sit by pool and drink.

This was my first time here. I did not plan any excursions and stayed in the port area. The port area is nice and clean. However, there is not a lot there. There are some shops and restaurants. The plus to the jewelry shops is because they don't get a lot of ships in port, they are very willing to make a deal. Next time, I will at least try to get to Puerta Plata.

Did Catamaran excursion, the not all-inclusive. Included snorkeling at a beautiful reef, lunch, drinks, and sailing. Amazing time in D.R. and the people we met that are from D.R. were so much fun

Loved Amber Cove. Did the De Casa in La Playa excursion. "Mama" and "Geirmo" were great. Ride was about 15 minutes. Excursion was a definite 5. Food and activities were wonderful! Paddle boarding and kayking were included as well as drinks. So relaxing and so much fun. All the staff on this excursion were so welcoming! They truly catered to you.

We went on our own to the 27 waterfalls and I would recommend it to anyone. It was WAY CHEAPER and easy to do on our own without an excursion. Just grab a cab at the port and the driver will sit and wait while you do the falls.
