I didn’t think I would like this port but I did. Enjoyed the pool. I went zip lining for the first time. Not bad at all.

My favorite port of the cruise. Beautifully well maintained and a fantastically well serviced stop for any cruiser.

What a wonderful day! Our guide/hostess "Momma" is a pure delight! We had an air-conditioned ride to a private beach and Momma told us so many interesting facts about the Dominican Rebuplic. There were only 15 people on this tour so we basically had the beach to ourselves. We all loved the yummy buffet they made for lunch. My kids loved swimming and kyaking. Please ignore any negative reviews about the beach or ride to the resort. The ride is cool and Momma makes it so fun. Old reviews say the beach is on a hill. This is not true. There is a small slope going to the water. It is so much easier to get to the beach than any I have been to in NJ or NY. Seven people were in our party and we all had a perfect day!

Went to Playa Bachata instead of staying at the waterpark near the port. Playa Bachata was an all-inclusive with a beautiful beach. It's less than 10 minutes from the port. It was worth the money!

Many were hesitant to get off the ship but we were not. We even had a quick snack & liquor beverages at a quaint restaurant. REALLY ENJOYED THIS PORT!

Beautiful weather and a very nice port. Went to casa de campo via bus/taxi for the day which is a must do. Very beautiful compound that is safe to visit as it is gated. Everyone did the train ride which was advertised by carnival heavily however this was something nice to do.

In Dominican Republic, we did the Over the Ocean Zip lining excursion. It was scary and fabulous at the same time. The road to the excursion was not paved and in terribile condition. However, after learning more about the countryside and seeing how the natives live, the condition of the roads is the least of their worries. It was about a 1 hour ride to the excursion and a 1 hour ride back. It was very windy while we were on the stands getting ready to do the excursion but the guides did everything they could to reassure us that we were safe.

Spent our time doing some shopping first and then to the free pool area. Very nice pool area with slides and plenty of beach chairs. Nice water park area for smaller children. Fun day!
