This port has jumped to #1 on my list of favorites for relaxing. No hassles, great service, great amenities. We have been cruising for 20 years and have visited many different places. Hard to beat Amber Cove for relaxing!

Beautiful port. Liked that they had a place to swim and relax right at port. Wish there would have been a beach close to visit. They had a lot of shops at port to get items.

We had a great time in Amber Cove. Our guide was Kelvin & he was fantastic. He was funny and very informative. We did the ATV adventure excursion which I'm so glad we did. We met up and took an hour long fun bus ride through the city to our destination. We then signed our consent forms and proceeded to the ATVs where we then took a nice drive through the dusty dirt roads. Stopped at an islander's home and drank some refreshing coconut water. Afterwards, we stopped by a lake to rinse the dirt off and cool off a little bit. Last but not least we returned to where we started our adventure & ate fried chicken and tostones (hope I spelled that correctly lol) and had a shot of mamajuana which is a drink that is especially made on their island. It was fantastic and I highly recommend...

Even though we did not go on an excursion, we stuck by the pool and had a fun time! The service was good and the bar had some good specials. Look forward to branching out next time but good place for family to hang out, and the view of the island is very nice!

We did the community outreach excursion through carnival, which explored the community, included lunch, and you visited the girls orphanage where you could bring items and dance with the girls. It was truly rewarding. The girls showed you their room and performed a dance/song for you. It was worth it to learn the history, but also make a connection with the community.

We did the monkey land excursion through Carnival. Our guide was entertaining and informative. We had quite a bit of time interacting with the monkeys. Was a great experience and well worth it!

I was worried after news reports but Amber Cove is Carnivals place. Great shops and very clean. We did Ocean World Sharks, Sea Lions, and Dolphins. Fabulous fun. You can bring your own snorkel stuff if you want. Food was good. Full day so had to walk fast to shop a little. Also walk fast to the photo shop to get the pictures they take of you. really nice pictures but the line can get long. I was first so we got an earlier shuttle back to Amber cove.

We rented a hillside cabana - LOVED it. we had a wonderful view. The cabana was air conditioned and came with a mini fridge with water and soda which we took with us back aboard and enjoyed since we didn't buy the beverage package.
