Ochi as the locals call it is one of our favorites, nice people, great prices on goods and souvenirs, nice restaurants, the beach at Margaritaville right off the ship use to be free, but they’ve gone to all inclusive. Now it’s about $25 per person . You get one umbrella & 1 lounger. Dunn’s River falls is just a 5!min cab ride from the port.

Was very sketchy. I always wanted to see Jamaica but now that I did I can check it off my bucketlist and never go back. Had an excursion to go horseback riding on land & sea that was suppose to last 3 hours & it was half that time including the transfer to and from destination. Wouldn’t go again. NCL changed this port to Montego Bay then back to Ocho Rios a week before cruising which made making changes to our excursion a pain in the neck and NCL didn’t apologize or give us any type of credit etc. Went to Oceans 11 to eat lunch and half the items on the menu weren’t actually even available they said. Ended up paying for 2 overpriced sodas & 4 mozzarella sticks. Felt I got ripped off in Jamaica just like Cozumel.

We took the Shaw Gardens & Dunns River Falls excursion. There was a lot to see on this one. The Gardens were absoloutely wonderful, and so were the falls. However, had the description of the excursion been more detailed, we would have known that we needed to wear our suits and not bring our cameras to walk up the falls. We were not able to take advantage of that because we were not properly prepared. No one our bus was able to walk up the falls because we were not aware that you would be completely soaked doing this. I was really looking forward to climbing the falls. Also, since the shopping complexes that you are taken to are both within walking distance of the pier, I believe that it would be better to skip the shopping stops and then be able to spend more time at the Fall. Even if we had been able to climb the falls, we had barely over an hour before we had to be back on the bus and with the number of people climbing the falls, it would have taken more time than that.
