Did the beach club, garden and falls tour. Nice beach club. Too much bus time.

Much preferable to either Montego Bay or Falmouth, both of which we visited on previous cruises

Not a whole lot of things to do at this port. I did the Dunn River Falls with the rum punch catamaran. Simple excursion...really enjoyed it. You can walk up the falls (in the falls) or walk along the trail next to the falls.

If you are not doing an excursion, I recommend staying on the ship. You better learn how to say NO. A LOT. Lots of people will be harassing you on every corner. And everything tourism related is stupid expensive, even though the place is overall quite poor. Makes no sense. Margaritaville was awful. Overpriced, loud, annoying, and they make you walk into the gift shop to use your card - they won't do it for you. Very rude servers. I will never go to that place again.

We did a private taxi excursion for a set price up front. Was driven around and shown different areas and places in Oches Rio. Went to the beach and stayed for a while until we were ready to leave. Bought Jerk chicken meals with plantains and a salad and had something to drink while at the beach. After we were brought back to the port in plenty of time for our departure. Great excursion!

Actually docked in Falmouth. But travel 45 minutes to Ocho Rios, and did the Dunns River Falls. Exciting adventure. Great workout. Actually the vendors at the exit are quite aggressive.

We did an all inclusive, it was nice. Debarkation on the port was horrible, waited forever in the tiny port for transportation. Jamaica is missing huge economic opportunities by not building up the their port.

Have been to Jamaica several times. Much has changed since our last visit, which was 10+ years ago. Tour staff were very helpful. Went to the bird aviary and waterfall area, which was not among the excursion selection from the cruise line. Was very enjoyable and well worth the time. We accepted the tour staff's offer to take us to a shopping area for souvenirs. They obviously had a vested interested in where they took us but there were many shops and prices were reasonable.

Jamaica was the most beautiful , but beware. We paid a cab driver to take us to the chair lift up the mountain and then to shop. He took us to a store where they told us everything was 50% off. We bought Rum and souvenir's. Much to our dismay we paid as much as $30 more per bottle and $15 dollars higher than at the port on our way back. They also charged our credit card for $50 in stuff we didn't buy. Beware Jamaica , they know the tourist's are easy targets.
