Review summary
My family had a wonderful cruise on the Carnival Sensation. It's a old ship and we love old ships!! We wanted to experience one of Carnivals older ships. Was a place to relax and get away from the everyday routine.Embarkation
Was pretty quick getting on the ship. We arrived around 2 pm and got on pretty quickly!

Wonderful friendly staff!! Went out their way to help and please everyone. Our room steward was the best!!! Room was always clean and he always asked if we needed anything. Waiters went out their way to please us when eating in the main dining room.
Ship Quality
Noticed that the ship was always being cleaned by the staff. Didn't notice any smells of any kind. Tables were always wiped and cleaned. The ship layout was pretty easy to figure out.
Cabin / Stateroom
Cabin was always clean daily. No complaints on our part.
Ports of call
We did a private taxi excursion for a set price up front. Was driven around and shown different areas and places in Oches Rio. Went to the beach and stayed for a while until we were ready to leave. Bought Jerk chicken meals with plantains and a salad and had something to drink while at the beach. After we were brought back to the port in plenty of time for our departure. Great excursion!

Loved 7 mile beach! Hoping to return to this beach again. Beautiful clear turquoise water. Family enjoyed it a lot!!
