I've been to jamaica before . If you've never been to jamaica, you may be shocked at how pushy Jamaicans can be at the port and shopping.

It’s a port town, no excursions but walked around looking at shops, etc. They all pretty much sell the same thing but no one was pushy that I remember.

Had an amazing time here. We visited The Lookout, a local Jerk restaurant/home kitchen, and a great 420 experience. All thanks to Troy's tours. Next big vacation - will return to Jamaica but for a week or more.

We climbed the Dunn’s River Falls and got a tour through the mountains on an excursion that we booked through Shore Excursions Group. The group size was very small, which allowed us to truly pay attention and appreciate the tour.

The port was nice. We did the Dunn's Rivers Falls Excursion. The Falls was great the bus ride to and from not so good. On all right there the bus pulled over and we were forced to buy things we didn't want to buy. After the Dunn's River Falls Excursion we thought we were coming right back to the boat and we were not brought back to the boat they drove around with the bus made us go to places they wanted us to shop at which we didn't think was going to happen like I said we thought we were going right back to the boat that wasn't the case so also be mindful of what Excursion you're purchasing.

If you go to the Dunn's River Falls be prepared for lots and lots of people.

Found out too late that there are stairs that can be taken at Dunn's River Falls, so one doesn't HAVE to climb up the falls to see it.

We booked the Jamaican Bobsled excursion and enjoyed it. The chairlft going up was neat, look out to the left and you can see the ship docked in the bay, beautiful!

Jamaica is beautiful! Despite what stories are told about Jamaicans, we did not encounter any that were disrespectful or where we felt in fear. Pleasant shore excursion and definitely a must see! Margaritaville is not far from port, they serve 'mixers' at no cost (where someone walks around with a bottle of margarita mix and another bottle of tequila, you turn your head up, they pour and you swallow), be careful not to get too drunk and miss the ship!
