Stay close to the ship. Jamaica is not a very clean or safe island to travel. I heard many cruisers say that islanders were following them to sell stuff all the time.

this was our favorite excursion we went on the dunn river falls trip and the ultimate beach break with food. the food was not that good but the dolphin cove location (for the beach party) was fun and we watched a dolphin show and shark show at no extra cost. my only complaint is that the excursion details do not tell you that the waterfall hike is a bit challenging and that you get completely soaked so wear a swim suit, we also had to pay 8 dollars to rent a locker so our camera and wallets would not get wet- nowhere was this mentioned.
