Prices were high, swarmed by locals wanting to sell anything and everything, high crime area, have to be careful and don't wander off selected shopping areas

We met up with "friends of friends" who actually lived on the island, so we had a different tour/experience than most of the other passengers.

Too much oppression by locals. Couldn't even walk down the street. I found the Jamaican people to be rude, overbearing and extremely pushy. I won't go back to Jamaica unless I choose an excursion. I'm sure its a beautiful place, but we were very anxious to get back to the ship.

Didn't spend much time in Montego Bay, but it was still a great way to get to Negril.

A little expensive. The people are very friendly. Be careful not to carry too much money or they will haggle you to death. Nice beach. Get Hop on Hop off bus pass to see the sights for $15 a person.

The shuttle buses from port to town are a dangerous ripoff. They pack you in so tight, than in the even of an accident, there is no way out. If you ask about a taxi, they lie to get you on their shuttle. Walk out the port gates, and you will find taxis safer (cheaper if more than 1 person) waiting.

Horseback riding excursion... don't go if you're expecting to go all out at a full gallop and have a good time on your own. It's a rambling tour on horseback at a walk the entire time. You get to ride them into the water, but only for about 3 minutes! The views and the people are nice, but I probably wouldn't do it again.
