We went when there were not a lot of children aboard, which is what we wanted.  The ship is a great one for families, with the serenity section where no one under 21 is allowed.  It was a perfect getaway, not an extremely elaborate ship, but new and well maintained. Its a FUN SHIP.  Tho we didn't partake of the nightly movies on the Lido deck, the ones they showed were recent and well chosen.

Ship Quality
New and well maintained
Food and Dining
Southern Lights dining room was terrific. Wait staff and Maitre D especially
Service and Staff
Scott, the Cabin steward, Gusto, from Southern Lights and his assistant waiters. Skip was also an excellent cruise director
Excellently produced but not my particular taste.
Children's Programs
not applicable
Onboard Activities
plenty to do
Destinations and Excursions
Jamaica was terrible. But we didn't go on an excursion. Next time we are there, we will definitely choose an excursion, or stay on the ship . Grand Cayman was nice, but short and Cozumel was excellent.
Cabin / Stateroom
It was good in everry way
Galveston, Texas
Crowded and the debarkation and our embarkation were overlapping. So it was a bit confusing. Also, because the ship is so large, the guests are many, so lines are longer.
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Too much oppression by locals. Couldn't even walk down the street. I found the Jamaican people to be rude, overbearing and extremely pushy. I won't go back to Jamaica unless I choose an excursion. I'm sure its a beautiful place, but we were very anxious to get back to the ship.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Great shopping and food. 7 mile beach is wonderful if you want to be on your own. The town was very accessible, clean and enjoyable. I found the culture to be very classy and no pushy street vendors. Friendly, clean and able to feel safe and relaxed
Cozumel, Mexico
Swam in beach at Cozumel. Been there many times so we are familiar with the place. It's culture is more mexican than Island. But its nice. The street vendors are a bit obnoxious, but they don't accost you like they do in Jamaica. Chankanaab is beautiful, but unnecessarily expensive. The dolphin swim is good but you can't take pictures.

Always go to the Southern Lights dining room for breakfast/brunch at sea days. Lido is nice, but very, very crowded. Just because the ship is larger doesn't mean its any more accessible than smaller ones. Actually, it was a bit more chopped up than smaller ships, and there was lots of walking.
