Jamaica is .... well what do you think? My wife and I got off the beaten path on this one and it was an experience. Everyone was friendly but I'd advise keeping your guard up. Everything is marked up 50% at least so if you enjoy bartering HAVE A BLAST! If your with a party who plans on "enjoying the local flavor" I would advise at least one person being the designated money holder/deal maker or you may make it back to the boat broke with a huge smile if you don't watch it. Also stick to your guns we made a deal with a cabby who got stuck in traffic heading back to the ship and tried to change our agreed fare. Everyone's really friendly but you have to be careful not to get taken advantage of.

Some of the people selling items can be very pushy and in your face. The traffic was also bad. Dr. Caves beach was decent though.

Bargain with the people at the ships. And keep on eye on how much they charge you. They give you one price when you are looking and want to charge you different at the end😟
