went on excursion and it was an awful experience my niece cut her foot on the so called beach which had more glass and rocks than sand. We complained to guest services and was directed to the excursion counter and was blown off.

Nothing there really and not a very safe place to explore. On the plus side Hard Rock Cafe is close by on the beach and there was a free transfer bus, although a well kept secret.

I enjoyed it. We ventured off on our own as usual. We hired a local woman to drive us around. She took us to a historic place, then took us where we could get my standard souvenir items.

We got to a beach early, got a good spot with chairs and umbrella and had a great day. But, getting out there was a little scammy I thought with them shoving you into vans saying they would take you where you wanted, and then trying the bait and switch for their tours, and dropping you off where they wanted to. We had to walk a mile to the beach we wanted through a lot of "pan handling" shop-keepers and taxis.

Felt safest to take the shuttle to town with the safety reports and all, but we did walk back mid day and felt safe. I don’t care for the constant bargaining & selling, but I didn’t let it get to me. We used this day to book our “discounted” spa massages so didn’t do much.
