Terrible and disappointing port! This is my 2nd time going to Montego Bay. The first time, they had all these little shops that were air conditioned and the people were friendly and there was an indoor mall as soon as you exit the ship. This time, the shops and "Mall" were there but they were ALL empty. Ypu couldn't fo anything unless you booked a shore excursion. Normally, they have people playing music as you get off the ship and this time, they were there but not playing any music but they sure had their tip jars out waiting for you to give them money but refused to sing or play any of the instruments. Carnival....why did we even waste our day here??? Should have just stayed 2 days in Cozumel or Grand Cayman.

Spent $450.00 to take the family on the Chukkha Horseback Tour. The guide, who introduced himself as Ricardo, spent almost the entire time trying to get a tip from us. The other guides were pointing out interesting sites and talking about the horses and their culture, but Ricardo only badgered us for money. It ruined the excursion. It was like you had to try to ignore him to enjoy what you were riding past. Could have been a great excursion, even at that price, but it was ruined.

Cruises need to stop going to this port. It's very scary and the locals are ridiculous. There is not enough time to go to Dunns River Falls and actually enjoy it. They rush you every step of the way and the bus driver risked our lives with his ridiculous driving trying to make it back to the port on time. We had 5 minutes to spare before the shipped left.

The public transportation was horrible. People were selling "ganga" all over the place (weed). These people acted like they were trying to help you, but lured you down a path to something unwanted. We ended up at Margaritaville for the day. Had a great time, but I could have done without Jamaica.

Jamaica was beautiful from a distance but we did not enjoy our time in Montego Bay overall. We used the Hop On/Hop Off bus and wish we had not. We were only planning on going to Doctor's Cave, but the bus goes to Rose Hall Shopping. The stores were smaller versions of the same shops you can find in any port and not worth the time. Doctor's Cave was a beautiful beach but it was nothing special. The vendors trying to sell you marijuana/shells/bracelets did not help the experience (we knew about the marijuana sells, but that didn't make it less annoying). We were also told numerous times the HOHO was only $20, the price is not marked but we were actually charged $25 per person.

Port was fine, always a long line inside the port terminal for excursions. He went on the Hard-rock resort excursion. The water was beautiful, but the jellyfish made it impossible to enjoy, especially when our two year old grandchild was with us. There were several individuals stung by the jellyfish while we were there. Couldn’t swim in the water so we had to use the pool....not the same for us. But last but not least, while enjoying our jellyfish infested beach time, some one stole $100.00 from.my daughters purse...didn’t find out until she went to by something in the port shopping area and her money was gone. My wife saw a worker moving things where we sat, but thought she was picking up trash, but thought it was odd anyway. Can’t say it was the worker in fact, but several other people reported items missing once they got back on board.

We did the Rose Hall and Beach excursion. This was our 2nd choice for an excursion. We wanted to do the beach excursion, but it was sold out I found the Rose Hall tour interesting and enjoyed it. My husband found it boring. The Hip Strip is a joke....overpriced cheap souvenirs. We would have preferred to skip Hip Strip and Margaritaville. We would have preferred to spend more time at Doctor's Cove Beach Resort. The catamaran ride back to the ship was so much fun!!

Breezes Resort was just okay. We heard Sandals was better but it was already full.
