The rafting on the Big River was great. The journey man was able to steer clear of any protruding rocks. The bus ride to the river was terrible. The roads are in poor condition and the driver has to honk every time he gets to a curve to avoid oncoming cars.

There wasn't much on the dock and they wanted $19 per person to take you to the shopping area that wasn't that far.

Very impoverished island, shopping is so so but the Jamacian people are friendly and warm and wonderful... so glad to have you visit!

Not really that safe of a port. No shopping right at the port, you have to take a bus into town. Be sure to get a card or ticket from the driver, also take photos: bus, bus driver, anyone with the driver. Otherwise they will just take your money and your out more to get back to the ship.

Please do not get off the ship in Montego Bay. This is a horrible area. The beach is over 2 hours away and on the beach you will be harrassed by local people.

It was a good time, we took a private tour which was ok. Very hot, a lot of people trying to get you to buy weed/etc... Downtown is kind of run down. Definitely wouldn’t walk around without a tour group. Try the jerk chicken! Nice seeing a old country.
