Buses at port try to hard sell tours, then leave you in a seedy area when you don't take them up on thier offer. The shop keepers were pushy and intrusive

The poverty that was all around. We went to a public beach and the minute we left the bus we were hounded by the locals selling drugs. The beach was nice and spacious and was priced well.

We didn't get to walk around the downtown area,however we would definately do that the next cruise.The "shopping tour "was a bust,however we did get to see some of the sites.Would not recommend this excursion.

Our original itinerary was supposed to go to Ochos Rios so we were caught off guard with this stop, but overall it was fun.

The only problem I had was with the shops. I don't like being followed around the store and pressured to buy anything. Other wise, Dunn's River Falls was beautiful. I would prefer next time though to not have to endure the little market area after the falls. It was uncomfortable and I actually felt afraid going through it;.I also enjoyed the local fare - the jerk chicken

If you like islanders overly aggressive and in your face it is for you. This place is an absolute disgrace. I'd never go back here, and will not go on another Western Carribean cruise if Jamacia is a port of call
