We did the private beach at Tropical Isle. It was amazing! Reggae music and jerk chicken and ribs were amazing! Limbo and ppl walking on stilts ( not sure what they're called) Immersive Jamaican culture, just wish we had more time!!

This port is experiencing a lot of problems it is dirty and nasty in my opinion in the port is also shallow, when you get off the ship and go abroad get ready for people to be trying to sell you drugs as well as souvenirs, talk to many people that were approached and they were trying to sell them everything for marijuana to cocaine, this is highly unacceptable and the security risk in threat there is on acceptable I think it be best to exclude Jamaica clean out of any future tours until they clean up the country and get better security this has nothing to do with the ship this is the country of Jamaica. The state department at the time had issued a warning that they were doing search and seizure in the country of Jamaica which is just a step up around martial law And in my opinion this is a very dangerous situation to be putting people into as being prior military anytime your subject to stop and search and seizure in any country that means in my opinion that the safety of your family is highly at risk and I would recommend avoiding this at all cost. We always live Jamaica! Be an educated traveler though so u r safe. There is not much to see or do at the port and u cant just walk out on ur own. But dont miss out on the absolutley beautiful island and its ppl and culture. They have some great excursions ir is u like a little more independence do the hop on hop off bus.

The Appleton Rum tour was a long ride through the country side, but by far the best . Well worth the money. We would do it again. Loved the taste testing, but didn't care to much for the ginger beer.

River rafting and beach time at Hard Rock Beach was awesome. Free Pepsi and water at Hard Rock Beach. Had about an hour to swim. Our guide made sure we had chairs in shade to relax. Was given a nice history lesson while driving up a large hill to our river rafting sight. Our raft guide was awesome. Five of us were able to get into raft together. Stopped to swing off rope into deeper area of river before continuing on to finish our rafting. Scenery was awesome. Got jerk chicken and fritters free at the end before going back to ship. All four of my boys enjoyed this , ages 6, 10, 11, and 13.

We did a 3 part excursion thru carnival with the Chukka company. It was such a great time! We did ziplining, river tubing, rope swinging, and horse back riding. All the tour guides were great! I highly recommend it!

We have been here before and this time the water was a lot more clear. This is definitely not my husband's favorite port. I understand that tourism is their income. This time they grab my teenage daughter's hand put merchandise on it and told her she owed them money. This is the part of this port I don't like. We made the best out of this port but just not our favorite.
