My only complaint here is they call it a "private island," it's not. It's shared with Belize, therefore you will pay for food & drink, even with drink pkg.'s place has tremendous potential. There is a little animal sanctuary here, we missed it.

This was my favorite. I understand this is NCL's private island. I couldn't understand why the food and drink were extra though.

Although this is a private island, there is no included food or drink here. So be prepared for some $$$ pricetags. Had we not been screwed with a tender, despite being assured otherwise at booking, we could have walked to the ship for lunch. Instead it took an extra 3 hrs just to get off the ship due to issues with the tender and port authority. Landshark is so expensive they cover up menu pricing on the menu the place outside the restaurant. However there are a couple bar&grills on the beach that have some menu items in the $10 - $15 ranges. Bring bottled water from the ship otherwise its $5.50 per bottle. I also brought wine with me in a canteen so I didnt have to pay the $15 per drink pricing. The local staff that runs the port were extremely professional. Their attention to detail for the lifeguards is so amazing we felt comfortable letting my daughter and 9yo son (some cerebral palsy issues) swim without us having to helicopter parent. Those lifeguards were not fooling around. I watched them make one kid take a 5min timeout after 3 warnings about roughhousing in the pool. I felt that if something were to happen they were not just bodies standing there but qualified staff. The nature exhibit was fun, albeit short. I was able to get a souvenir t-shirt that not only advertised the port, but all of the proceeds go to their habitat preservation. Since it was a donation, there was no taxes or gratuities added. Everywhere else charges 12.5% tax and an additional 15% service fee (aka tip). So every price you see, add 30%.

Tacky. Commercial. High priced. We did a snorkel. Nothing to see (vs. Roatan). Not worth it. You cannot say you've actually been to Belize if you go to this port.

We did not do an excursion at this port. It was shocking to find that when it started raining that many of the guests tried to enter the restaurant and the wait staff locked the doors. Only a handful of guest were let in to the restaurant.

My family and I didn't care for this island at all, we have been to NCL's other private island GSC and it was amazing. Harvest caye however was a total let down. Wasn't really even Belize. You have to pay for all meals and drinks, the water wasn't pretty at all. The pool was too crowded and it just wasn't like anything we were expecting. When we went to GSC meals and drinks were all inclusive so were all activities. My inlaws paid $40 a per person to go kayaking in harvest caye which stated was 2 hours long, they got there and they didn't like it at all, not only was it falsely advertised (2 hours long) but there was no where for them to kayak! It was literally a little roped off space and they did the whole thing is 30 minutes and that was them taking their sweet time. Definitely will not recommend this port to anybody. We live in Tampa Florida and we have way better stuff here to do for free than go to this port lol. Not to mention the food that you can purchase is very expensive for what you get and it was awful tasting. I had the shrimp basket and my fiancé had a chicken sandwich platter and it was well over $50 just for both of the meals. The food had no seasoning, the shrimp tasted like it was store bought frozen shrimp from Costco or something. Highly disappointed. NCLs GSC blows this one away by far!

Nice little island, but you have to pay for everything onshore and prices are very high

Beautiful private Island, But expected better from the shops and expected to be treated better then lied to. unethical behavior when they lie to you about having a piece exclusive to their shop, but then found the same piece in Costa Mya for $150 cheaper. The Pool is awesome and the Island is Beautiful.
