We had an excursion to do parasailing but it was canceled so we hung out at the beach, played volleyball, went to the pool that had a swim-up bar. Honestly, I had the best time here just hanging out with my family.

We visited the animal exhibit, rented kayaks & stayed mostly around the pool. There was lots to do until the rain & wind hit. Note: best to wear water shoes since the sand was coarse & uncomfortable to walk on in bare feet.

Was disappointed that our original tour choice of the hot sauce factory was cancelled. One of hubbys favorite hot sauces, and he was really looking forward to that. We then opted for a short tour of the local towns. It was interesting, but not what we originally signed up for. The bay itself was beautiful.

We spent all our time on the private island, which was very nice. It was different not having a BBQ lunch on the island, but I am sure it is a lot of work for the crew to host that. Here I took a short nature tour, did the zip lining experience - which was so much fun, and then hung out on the beach until a storm blew in and pushed everyone back onto the ship. Water temperature was perfect. For people who have never zip lined, be prepared to start high and also go Superman style if desired. There were plenty of lounge chairs to choose from.

This was the NCL Private/leased island of Belize. The weather didn’t cooperate and a lot of excursions were cancelled. My only real complaints about this stop was that the drinks were WAY overpriced and that the Tender operators were very rude to people. Not to me, cuz I bite back, but to others. Nice island though! Didn’t stop us from having a good time.

Harvest Caye was a typical beach stop. My advice is take bottled water off for visiting the beach area. Drinks and food at the beach is expensive. The menu has several types of beer and other drinks. However, many were not available, or out of stock. I paid $8.60 for what was supposed to be 12 ounces of local ale in a clear plastic cup. We went back to the ship for lunch, then returned to the beach.

The ship could not dock at the pier so we had to tender over in rough waters. We decided to forfeit our kayak rentals for the day and stay on the boat. I was looking for to the Lagoon and the opportunity to Kayak the area.

Monkey River Ecotour. The tour was oversold and not enough room for everyone to have a seat on the boat. Some people were sitting in the back and sides which was sketchy. Beautiful scenery but a bit weird that there was a concrete path in the rainforest. We stopped at the village to use the bathroom which we had to pay $1 to use. Some people didn’t like that. Just a so so tour. We live in Florida and I felt like the Monkey River was not much different than home. My husband is a master arborist and was very sad to see all of the invasive species taking over the rainforest.
