Harvest Caye is very nice. We took a pontoon ride and enjoyed that. The upstairs bar overlooking the beach was terrific. We had a terrific waitress, which made this even more special

The water was not clear at all. Don't bother trying to snorkel here. You won't be able to see anything.

I did some shopping and also spend time on the beach. Beach and pool were nice to use. Enjoyed watching the the folks zipline over the beach. Did not do an excursion.

Monkey River tour was beautiful but lacked wild life! Lots of birds but only 1 monkey! Lots of mosquitos. Not worth the money paid for excursion.

If it was not pouring rain - it would have been really nice here. I was looking forward to swimming but with potential under - no-one was allowed in the water.

I have mixed emotions about this port. The port is beautifully landscaped and has some neat features (a butterfly enclosure, nice beach, some shops, a lighthouse) and means that the ship can dock. This can mean that the port doesn't get missed because it's dangerous to tender in. On the other hand, it makes going to the mainland prohibitively difficult so that some excursions such as cave tubing are impossible. This means that the very expensive ship excursions are the only way to go. In the long run this port will probably be a good thing for the town of Placencia. My husband and I just walked around the cay and I bought some earrings at a silver shop.

Nice and relaxing once you get ashore. Beautiful water and everything you need. Tender operations took two hours, which seemed excessive.
