Overall, the Escape is a great boat with lots to keep the whole family busy. Super for solo cruisers too. Enjoyed the experience.

Not sure what happened as I have never have this problem before but it was a disaster. The queues were wrapped around the building - people were still getting off when we were trying to get on. It was a full 2 hours from getting to the port to entering the boat - the outside lines were wrapped around the building in the hot sun with NO access to bathrooms or water.

I did not find the food taste as good as on previous cruises or even other Norwegian ships but I am not much of a foodie. The variety of dining rooms and choices was there and I love the freestyle not having to get roped into a time for seating.
Onboard Activities

There is always something to do. I like that there are 2-3 decks to walk around and get some exercise. I was not a fan of the fitness centre machines, just not very comfortable compared to most gyms I go to but matter of preference. The adult areas are nice for peace and quiet and love that the hot tubs are open until late because they are crowded in day time.

If it was not pouring rain - it would have been really nice here. I was looking forward to swimming but with potential under - no-one was allowed in the water.
Never been to a port with this extensive a 'village'n Loved having activities inside and not having to venture far. We stayed at the pool. Pricey to buy the required drinks but worth it to stay around.
