We decided to decide what we wanted to do once we reached the port. We had a great 1 hour tour in an open trolley. It was well worth the $20.00 cost. We visited some local vendors outside the main shopping area, stopped at a beautiful church with an old cemetary, stopped by a little beach where we could put our feet in the water (took 5 years off my life) and some other great locations. Our driver was ByeRon and our tour guide was a hilarious young lady with beautiful hair; they both were very funny. We witnessed a "high speed chase", but that's another story.

Did something different this time. Did the Great House Plantation. Took awhile on a long, narrow, bumpy road but it was worth the trip. Great scenery. Falmouth is the neatest of the three ports. Also the safest.

Dunn's River falls tour was worth the money. The Jamaican people were very friendly but at times aggressive in trying to capture tourist dollars.

Date of Visit: May 16, 2018. Ship: Disney Fantasy Had no excursion planned for Jamaica. We strolled through the gated Falmouth shopping area. It was clean and modern. We found many of the merchants unfriendly. They kind of just looked at us while we shopped for items to purchase. We ended up buying nothing. We got back on the ship and enjoyed the rest of the day. Sorry but if Falmouth and I cross paths again, I will simply stay on the ship.

A beautiful port with beautiful people. The shopping is good but make sure to check as many places as you can for the best deals and beware of those who try to almost corner you to buy their product and don’t feel like you have to buy their stuff ( I made that $20 mistake). Although it wasn’t that expensive of a purchase I left feeling not so great of my purchase. We didn’t book an excursion but instead opted to take a trolley ride offered at the port. The ride was very informative and it really showed the culture and struggles of the people there. It’s not the most beautiful port outside of the main shopping section but it’s a welcoming one.

The port was slow to accept the NCL Getaway. Not as if they didn’t know we were coming. Set the excursions back by 40min. Also, too far from most destinations; I.e. Dunn’s River Falls. Way too much wasted time driving on the bus!
