A great leisurely cruise for us this trip. Crew of ship were very polite and helpful. We’ve been to all these ports before so we decided to just “relax and enjoy”. We enjoy sea days as there is no rush to get off the ship. And when we are in port, we have the ship to ourself.
Embarkation

Well organized embarkation. Rapid and delay free.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The only real problem I had was on the first morning at sea. The buffet opened with only one side. It seemed everyone showed up for breakfast at the same time. It was confusion in the highest degree. After that first morning all was much better. Basically food was good and well presented. A good variety was available.
Dinner meals were especially good. Different items were available each night as well as those favorites that were available every night.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
At my age I don’t do the fun stuff like rock climbing wall any more. It looked fun but old bones break easily. The pools were nice, especially in the adult only area. Hot tubs great! We don’t gamble or drink so I guess you would call us boring.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We watched both of the stage productions as well as the Ice Show. All were good. Especially good was the 82 minute production of Saturday Night Fever.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
Even though I did not have children on this cruise, I noticed a lot of activities for all ages throughout the ship. A most popular one was the cupcake decorating class. For the 35 dollars they spent on the class they did get a lot of cupcakes to take to their staterooms.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Dining room service was fantastic. We did the My Time Dining keeping table 321 for the entire cruise. Our waiter was from Panama, assistant from Kenya. Together they made our dinner an absolute pleasure. Lots of humor and great service.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was clean. If something was not right, a quick call to guest services would take care of it. Ship was easy to get around. The concept of the Promenade is one of our favorite features in the Liberty. We find it fun and a change from the usual cruise ship shops. The mixture of shops, restaurants, and services makes a fun area. And it does cost anything to sit, drink house coffee, and watch the people go by.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was good in size. With two recliner chairs on the balcony, sea days were pleasant. We carry a CPaP machine with us so the room Stewart set us up an extension cord and purified water. We set this request up before the cruise so all was ready when we arrived.
Ship tip
Get the Royal app. Everything you need to know is available on this app. There is no charge to use it on the ship WiFi.
Did something different this time. Did the Great House Plantation. Took awhile on a long, narrow, bumpy road but it was worth the trip. Great scenery. Falmouth is the neatest of the three ports. Also the safest.
Been there many times but have noticed a large increase in “shopper stalkers” at the International Pier (ROYAL CARIBBEAN). Took a stroll over to the Carnival pier to Cinco Soles for lunch at Poncho’s Backyard.
Great place to sail out of. Go to Galveston a day early and enjoy the many Venus it has to offer. We went to the Rain Forest Cafe for evening meal followed by watching the volcano erupt (every 30 minutes or so).
Took tour to Stingray City. This a great place to go to interact with the rays. Water is not too deep but it does take awhile to get there. These rays know they are going to be fed and will come to you. Don’t take water shoes as they are not permitted.
Normally this is simple. I usually do a walk off but decided this time to do the normal scheduled time disembarkation. I had a low number exit tag (baggage tags) of 7 which was in the first release. I would be able to get my bags and clear customs very quickly. Well, tags number 3, 5, and 7 are at the front of the baggage building. This is where the baggage is brought into the pickup area and is inaccessible until ALL bags are brought in. Lost 45 minutes waiting.
Note: long walk from ship to baggage area.
Doing that cruise in Nov 2020. We always enjoy being in port when we have nothing planned and can get off when we want after the crow. Also like you said you somewhat have the ship to yourself.
