The Port at Falmouth is fairly new and was built by Princess. Very nice stores. We did the Good Hope Express Tour. Once a sugar plantation, today the 2,000 acres serves as parkland and a citrus farm. We took a bus up a hill to the Great House. This 18th century home has been restored to its original splendour but I wasn’t that impressed with it. I thought it would be much more Grand. Maybe I’ve seen too many castles in Europe. The view though was spectacular. We then went to another part of the estate with a pool, man-made waterfalls, shops etc. A bit too commercialized for me.

We did the Dunn’s Falls excursion and I would not recommend it to anyone. That is unless you like being herded like Cattle and rushed through the fall which are dangerously overcrowded. Apparently the “Guides” only get paid when the group reaches the top of the fall, so it’s an all out stampede to the top so they can grab another group. On the flip side, we did a tubing excursion on the White River and had a great experience.

Did Bob Marley excursion with a private tour company. Got to see the real Jamaica. My 14 year old and I had the time of our life! Seeing the "Rasta" way of live was interesting. The ride to Bob Marley's birthplace is not for the faint of heart.
