There are some really reasonable shops on the port to shop.

we have been to Cozumel numerous times. The weather canceled our excursion at the last minute so we just walked around and shopped. then back to the ship. The ship is very relaxing while in port.

This was a great port. It was clean. We shopped, then went on a beach excursion. It wasn't booked in advance so I didn't know what to expect but we had a great time swimming and having adult beverages on the beach.

We went to passion Island here and it was also equally stunning. Super relaxing and enjoyable! I would highly recommend passion Island as well.

We did the paddle boarding and snorkeling for $60 and that was just fantastic. The resort we went (Club Cozumel Caribe) to was big, clean, had a pool, had all the amenities and both the guests and the staff were just great to be with. We stayed all day and had a blast. Food was extra but still super. Like with any stop, eat a big breakfast, snack on the excursions and treat yourself to one drink then get back on the ship for the free food and depending on your choice the drink package you paid for....

Cozumel is an amazing place. Tons to do. Tons of excursions but you can easily take taxi's and do it that way. We were there 10 hours. Plenty of time to get into stuff.

We did the "Taste of Mexico" tour at Discover Mexico Park not through Carnival so we got to make our own chocolate bar, have a private tutorial on tasting tequila (3 kinds), and a taco bar for lunch. Our guide Memo (pronounced Me-moe) was very knowledgeable on the culture and history of Mexico and showed us through the art museum and diaramas of Mayan ruins. He was extremely knowledgeable on tequila and gave us certificates at the end for taking his "class."
