The usual crowded tourist shops so you’re accosted as soon as you enter. Advice we received from one of the crew was, next time take a taxi to the old downtown. Shops and restaurants are much less expensive and less crowded.

Rent a Scooter and explore. If you plan to go to one of the resorts, like Mr. Sancho's Beach, make a reservation. We were surprised to be refused a ride there by taxi because at 9:00 AM, word on the island was, they were completely at max capacity. We met others at Ocean's that stated they wanted to go there and unfortunately could not go in. Ocean's was wonderful and Erick, server/staff, was great!

In Cozumel, we actually did the "Rio Secreto" excursion, which is actually on the mainland outside of Playa del Carmen. This was another lovely excursion, although once again the photo package was way too expensive to consider. Lunch was included with this one and, although there wasn't a lot of time to eat, we didn't leave hungry.

Plenty! To do once you walk off ship. You can literally just relax, eat, shop or walk around right off the ship
