We took the horrible ferry ride to the main land for an excursion and had to witness a local man beating his daughter (maybe 5 yo) with a white strap. Hit her on the head, back and face multiple times. Her mother was standing there watching it happen. More then likely being beat herself. I was told not to get involved as there could be repercussions for myself and family. There were police with machine guns lining the streets and broken glass glued to the top walls to keep people out. Will never visit Mexico again. I cannot support a country that allows child abuse.

I've been here a few times and I've always had good experiences and this time was no different. We took a taxi to MrM Sancho's where we went parasailing which was awesome! I will say the sand there is very deep and really hard to walk in and we had to make our way from one end of the beach to the other in order to get on the parasailing boat. After parasailing we had to walk all the way back down the beach to the other end where we were before. The chicken nachos were really good. We had a really good time.

All western Caribbean cruises stop here. It's very commercialized and the locals are pushy when going downtown. Just say no thank you and keep walking. Not scary, just pushy.

Beautiful beaches, friendly people, and so much food! We went with the Mr. Sancho's all inclusive beach excursion at this stop. They had a pool bar, food options were delicious (buffet and sit-down menu), servers and staff were friendly and prompt. Our server Angel was constantly checking up on us and brought food and drinks out pretty quickly. He was full of helpful information on all the activities that were available - ie. horseback riding, snorkeling, parasailing, paddle boarding, etc. The bartender Julio was very consistent and fast with making drinks. He made sure I had another drink as soon as my glass was empty. The beach area itself was very clean, and had lounging chairs and picnic table seating. There was also an inflatable obstacle course in the water that was a lot of fun.

My 4th time to go to Cozumel. We took the underwater sea and land cruise by Carnival. It was very interesting. While we didn’t do the tequila making part, we did find a good taco stand. Next trip, I may do another excursion. Unless there is an excursion I just get off, look at the shops, and return to ship. I’m not a shopper.
