This was probably my 5th or 6th trip to Cozumel, I discover more each time. We did an excursion at Mr. Sanchos, and it definitely did not live up to the hype. We reserved ahead of time and still had to scramble for tables and chairs. The drinks were disgusting and watered down. I wasn't impressed with the food nor the wait time, definitely money wasted.

We did Mr. Sanchos all inclusive Beach excursion which we loved will do it again and we booked it from www.shoreexcursions.com which cut the price in half from the cruise lines pricing. Getting in and out of the dock area you must go through this large market and they really sell you hard. Funny it is definitely geared to Americans alcohol first then cigarettes then perfume and jewelry

Very nice port. I was a little annoyed that they shuffle you through the duty free shops on and off the boat, but given the large numbers of people stopping to buy things, most people don’t seem to mind. There are lots of nice restaurants and shops at the port. We did the Tulum and beach break excursion. It was great except the guide kept peddling all kinds of stuff. He wasted about an hour of our time at the ruins showing us his preferred shops. Otherwise, the ruins were amazing and the beach was beautiful and not crowded. I didn’t find the shopkeepers too pushy here. However, one did tell me to “get out of my shop” when I was haggling with him. He actually didn’t have a shop, just an outside stand. One of the other shopkeepers (with a real shop) came over and apologized and offered the same piece of merchandise for a much lower price. Very nice day, would love to go back.
