Our port was switched to Nassau. Unless you have an excursion booked this port is pretty much just shopping. There is a beach a little ways down that you can walk to from port.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE IN MEXICO!! They built this new dock where the cruise ships dock at (in the past, we had to tender to the dock). There is a mall when you immediately get off the ship - DO NO SHOP THERE!! It is too commercialized and expensive and you will get the same things when you walk downtown Cozumel for MUCH LESS money. The people are friendly and the food is cheap!!

Mr. Sancho's is a great place to visit when in Cozumel. You can get the all inclusive package for $55 USD and drink (alcohol included) and eat all you want. Just don't forget to get back on the ship and don't forget to stay on SHIP TIME!!

if you just like to snorkel, Playa Corona was excellent! Hardly any people, no cover charge and we got to meet Ramona the Barracuda! another excellent place to eat, the Lobster Shack!!

Watch out for the taxi drivers here! We told our taxi driver to take us to Paradise Beach and when he pulled in he suggested we go to this "new" place that was supposed to be nicer than Paradise Beach... it's called VIP Oceania and DO NOT GO THERE!! My husband and I paid $17 each to get in and then got there and was hassled by just as many ppl trying to sell you things as they do on the street. Not only that, but this place was a dumb! I got so irritated I got up and walked right down the beach to Paradise Beach which is 1000x nicer! The taxi driver tried to tell us that it was $18 a person to get in there which was a COMPLETE LIE! It's only $3 a person and they want you to buy something that's at least $10 which was really easy! Overall we spent about $40 there but wasted $34 at the crap Beach to sit there for 15 minutes!!!
