We went to Chakanaab and swam with the dolphins. Very nice water and great area for snorkeling. Just be prepared to get the run around from the staff if you prepaid for anything. The shops around the docks were nice and most of the sellspeople were understanding when we politely declined. Would definetly come back to Cozumel for vacation with out a cruise or with one.

We love Cozumel & have been there 4 times. This time we decided to do a private Jeep tour of the island through ShoreFox Excursions. We had a fantastic time & our guide, Angel, did a great job. We went to the opposite side of the island & saw some of the most gorgeous beaches - even with the seagrass in areas. The only thing that was odd was drinks weren’t included in our lunch that was part of the tour. But it wasn’t that big of a deal & the food was very good.

Beautiful island. Definitely to many people trying to sell you stuff, not so much when we got away from the port.

Had a good time here. Didn't get to go to the chitzen ruins like I wanted to this time. Went to an average beach down the street from the port. The locals do a lot of begging though. Prepare yourself mentally for it. You'll have very little quiet time to yourself, every minute a local comes up and will try and sell you a shawl , a curtain, or some mitts with the Dallas cowboys or Los Angeles Lakers nitted on them. I like to support and I try my best to do so but sometimes you just wanna chill with your family without someone coming up to you trying to get you to buy a stick with carved to look like Los Angeles dodgers bat
