This was the first time we visited Costa Maya. We loved it. We went Nohoch Kay, it was awesome. All you could drink adult beverages and lunch for $50. The chicken quesadillas and chicken burritos we yummy. Highly recommend!

Pool (no charge), restaurant/bar with swim up, and shops where you arrive. If you're looking to shop for souvenirs, go to the shops at the end of the Plaza. They'll give you the best prices.

We did a private excursion to the ruins at Chacchoben. Our guide was fantastic! Somehow he remembered the name of EVERY person on the bus tour and the bus was full! He had degrees in Archeology, History and Anothropology and was extremely well qualified and knowledgable.

Did not do an excursion here. Walked from ship to shopping area. Walked on a suspended walking path over the shopping/ pool area were we saw many different types of exotic birds. Interacted with the birds and feed them. It was a $12 fee per person and they gave you a cup of food so you can feed the birds. Great experience if you like birds.

if you are looking for a wonderful and relaxing day at the beach, take an open air bus for $3/person to Tropicante Restaraunt. You can email Steve in advance and he will save you beach loungers or chairs right on the beach for no fee. His concierge can get you snorkels, canoes, scuba, etc for a good price. the food at the Restaraunt is amazing too. http://www.sandalsandskis.com/tropicante.html

Great port, just not enough time here! Take the open air shuttle, $3 per person, and go to Tropicante. You can reserve chairs ahead of time for free. 1 hour massage is only $30.00. The water is beautiful, service is great, and food is good!! Shopping is also half the price here, then it is in the port.

PLAYA MAYA CHAN : Natural Beach Club big thumbs up. Look it up in Trip Advisor. The drinks were amazing, the beach was beautiful and the tacos were all to die for. I want to go back!!!

This port was great and everything was conveniently located right in the port as soon as you get off the ship. They had shopping, restaurants, a pool, the beach, water activites, massages, a bird and animal sanctuary, swimming with dolphins, etc. Because of this and the fact that we had been on the ship for almost two weeks we just stayed in this area and didn't do an excursion. We had lunch, bought some gifts, watched some of the entertainment, saw dolphin's and then got back on the ship. It was a very relaxing day.

The mayan ruins are inly 30 minutes from port. The closest you will be to authentic worth seeing ruins in Mexico. Also take a taxi to town. It is old school town. Worth the trip. You can see what old mexico looks like.
