Friendly locals, great food, nice beaches. Also great souvenir shopping. Had fun here. We were greeted with flags and got to take home free post cards from the welcome center at the port.

I love this island and it is truly beautiful, But have been there many times and done all the "normal" excursions at least twice. This time Windstar had a new one: You go to a fish market and buy fish; a produce market and buy your produce (peppers, garlic, plantains, etc.), then you go to a restaurant (closed to the public) and cook the things that were bought. TONS of fun!

This place was beautiful but quite disappointing that the city closes up on Sunday. They know ships are coming in. I hope yo go back again and really get to see what it is like when things are open.

We did a Spice and Waterfall excursion. It was nice to see the island via the bus. The tour guide was knowledgeable and had a wonderful sense of humor. The bus went on a lot off winding roads so if you are prone to carsickness sit in the front. The waterfall was lovely and worth the trip.

We got off the ship and walked over to the water taxi. It goes to Grand Anes Beach and cost $10 round trip. The only problem is they want to fill the water taxi up and you might have to wait a while. We went outside the port area and walked to a market and then back to the ship. Nothing to see outside the port within walking distance.
