This is one of those ports that if you don't have an excursion, there is nothing to do. We did here that they have the best prices on Duty Free Liquor.

The greeniest island in terms of natural beauty. Definitely have to visit the rainforest and try the many types of mangoes.

I have a few times now. The first time I wasn't impressed. The last time though we decided to hire a taxi and do an island tour. This really changed my opinion of the island, such a beautiful island away from the port area. I'm there again, hopefully, in November this year and my mum and me have decided we're going on a beach hunt having seen a lovely beach picture which said Dominica on it.

River tubing, tour, falls. River tubing was ok. Shallow area and too many people as we got jammed up a lot and staff had to maneuver us throughout. But, it was still fun and relaxing. The staff worked hard and were fun. The offering of drinks and sandwiches at the Falls was a fun surprise ( for nominal fee) delicious. Not much time to shop at the end but I managed to get the best deals near the port !

Hired a local to drive you around for a few hours, tell you about the island and take you to Trafalgar Falls for s short hike and water fall view. then have them drop you at a beach for a short day of fun and sun before heading back to the boat. You pay at the end so there is no need to worry about not having a ride back in time. The locals are very proud of their country and how self sufficient they are and have no problem politiely telling you this. They are very non-aggressive people.

Be careful with pricing and conversions. We were told one price in USD and the store's conversion was $27 more!

Loved it here and did a tour to the Emerald pool with P&O tours. A bit crowded but lovely green scenery.
