We opted to not get an excursion. That was a mistake. The area around port was sketchy, mobbed by cab drivers that cruise director advised not taking. The local tents with shopping was ok- most of stuff was same tent to tent. The people were friendly and not pushy

The shopping off the ship is horrible but the Rainforest hike to Emerald Pool was wonderful. It was beautiful and we recommend it highly.

This was a beautiful island - very undeveloped. We went to and "adventure center" and went swimming in a natural pool and hiked to a waterfall. Would have liked the hike to be a bit more strenous.

Dont be alone with electronics. Had a local try to steal my laptop even in a crowd of people. Everything is closed on Sunday, so do an excursion or beach if you go then.
