Maho beach. Even though some of the bigger planes do not come until 11 or 1130 we got there around 930 just to get a spot. Very busy beach

No excursion. We took a water taxi to the beach. The locals are very kind yet persistent. One guy got us a couple of chairs with an umbrella for $25. It was hard to relax when you had to say, 'No Thank You' every 5 minutes to the ladies that walk the beach selling necklaces, massages and things. I know this their way of life and they mean well, but there should be a limit on that. Lol I did buy a necklace and a towel bag. My husband and son paid $60 to ride the jet skis for half an hour. They had a blast.

We took a taxi, $32 round trip for two of us to Maho Beach to watch the planes take off and land. Super fun experience. There is a full service restaurant and bar here. They will charge you $20 if you want use of the umbrella and chairs. You don't have to - there were plenty of people just sitting on towels on the beach. It gets very crowded when the excursions show up. I recommend doing this on your own.
