Review summary

Sadly we didn't enjoy the cruise as much as I thought we would.  It really started off on the wrong foot with getting on the boat taking about 2 1/2 hours because their computers went down and then we

were a assisted by a new employee.  As soon as you got onto the boat you were bombarded by all of their sales people.  We found the boat to be extremely crowded.  People were getting to the pool by 7:30 AM to save chairs!  Everywhere we seemed to be you were in a crowd.  We also disliked that the ship was overran by teenagers.  Having a six and an eight-year-old it would've been nice to spend time with them in the hot tub or to play ping-pong with them without having  teenagers taking over.

I love to cook but was excited to have a week off, we quickly learned their quality of food was not what we hoped for. The meat was just odd. They made it seem like there were lots of places to eat but really it was all the same food served at different places.   We  thought we would get some relief when we went to the islands but when you have 3 to 5 cruise ships all stopping around the same time, a small island becomes very crowded.  We even went to a beach that was not on a tour, it as well was shoulder to shoulder.  I will say the staff was fantastic and the boat was always being cleaned.  It was just not the relaxing vacation we had  hoped for. Heck, Disney World with more relaxing. A cruise is definitely not for us.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The meat was a disappointment. All the beef tasted the same. The pool food like pizza fries etc. was actually pretty good and was always hot. The desserts were not bad either

Onboard Activities

We were told because it is such a big ship they don't do a lot of the old fashion entertaining. The last day they had some things by the pool or you could've of course pay for bingo, napkin folding, you name it they had something you could pay to do

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We found the waiters to be a little on the cold side but the assistant waiters were always great and paid special attention to our kids. Also the housekeeping was wonderful as well.

Ship Quality

The ship was so big we constantly got turned around and I call my husband my human GPS! We heard several people commenting on this.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our housekeeper was very pleasant and always made sure the few things we need it got there. It felt roomy enough for us and having the window overlooking the shopping area.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Nassau, Bahamas

This port arrives very early and ends early. We didn't feel like we had enough time to go anywhere far. Because it was somewhat chilly and rainy we decided just to check out a local beach and the straw market. You could not look for the locals pulling you to one shop to another we just ended up leaving

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
